Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya

The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit research institution based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), resulting from a public initiative of the Regional Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya). Research activities at the CTTC, both fundamental and applied, mainly focus on technologies related to the physical, data-link and network layers of communication systems, and to the Geomatics.

At Adaptive Processing Technologies  (ADAPT) research unit, we provide innovating adaptive signal and data processing solutions for smart and autonomous systems, residing for example at the edge of the operator networks. The goal is to guarantee best-in-class performance, energy efficiency and sustainability for applications, radio access network infrastructure and connected devices. The ADAPT RU is responsible for the coordinated FREE6G project and the three subprojects FREE6G-RadEdge, FREE6G-RegEdge, FREE6G-Security.

This is possible thanks to UOC R&I and its 50 plus research groups, as well as the eLearning Innovation Center.

The UOC’s Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) is a research centre specializing in the study of the Internet and the effects of the interaction between digital technologies and human activity. The IN3’s K-ryptography and Information Security for Open Networks  (KISON) group research lines focus on the compatibility of the security of decentralised networks (ad-hoc and P2P networks) and the protection of the intellectual property of digital content on the Internet with users' rights to privacy. UOC contributes to the FREE6G-Security subproject.
